Sump pump repair, replacement and installation

When your sump pump stops running, runs without stopping, or makes noise it never used to, call us at (502) 266-9408. Doug Durbin usually comes out first, and our technicians have at least 20 years of experience.

We repair sump pumps, replace worn-out ones, including with Zoeller pumps, and install new ones where a basement has never had one. Doug looks at the pump and the pit first, then tells you whether a repair makes sense or a new pump is the better use of your money.

We live in an older part of Louisville, and older basements are part of the work. Mabyn Pappas wrote that we are the call for “…the inevitable bigger issues that come with an older home.”

What to do when your sump pump stops

“Doug and Josh were very kind and professional. They explained everything I needed to have done.”

Call (502) 266-9408 as soon as you notice the pump has quit, or send the service request form and answer yes to “Is it urgent?” When water is coming in, tell us. During the day, we can rework our schedule to take care of your urgent problem.

If you know the brand and model of your pump, have it ready when you call. If the pump is a Zoeller, say so. That helps Doug know what he is walking into before he gets to your basement.

How we handle a sump pump call

We usually answer the phone live, and you can always get in touch with Tina or Doug, the owners, about a pump that has quit. Pump calls are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

We always try to talk you through your after-hours or weekend emergency and save you money by enabling you to wait until a normal business day. When we book you, you get a two-hour arrival window instead of a day of waiting. We can call you to tell you we are on the way if you need to leave work.

Doug Durbin usually goes on site to see the pump and give an accurate quote. If water has already gotten out of the pit, our page on leaking pipe repair covers other leaks we fix inside the house, and you can always reach us through the contact page.

“Friendly, courteous plumbers. I could tell they had a lot of experience as they predicted exactly what the issue was and then promptly fixed it.”

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Do you work on Zoeller sump pumps?

Yes. We repair and replace Zoeller sump pumps. If you know the brand and model of your pump, tell us when you call.

Should I repair or replace my sump pump?

It depends on the pump. Doug sees it on site and tells you which way he would go. Sometimes a repair is the right answer, and sometimes a worn-out pump is better replaced.

How much does sump pump repair or replacement cost?

Doug quotes each job on site after he sees it. What changes the price: whether the pump can be repaired or needs replacing, the size and type of pump, how easy the pit is to reach, and what the discharge line needs.

Do you install a sump pump where there was not one before?

Yes, sump pump installation is part of what we do. Doug usually looks at the basement first and quotes the job.
