Plumbing service in Fisherville

Fisherville on Google Maps

Fisherville ranks among the Jefferson County areas we serve most often. It sits out along Taylorsville Road, on the way to Taylorsville, the Spencer County town we also serve. The two towns are close, and we go to both.

A visit here starts with a phone call. Doug Durbin usually comes to the house first, sees the job and gives you an accurate quote. Tina books you a two-hour arrival window, and we can call you when we are on the way.

“Tina returns calls promptly, gets a service person out as soon as humanly possible…”

The Fisher family mill and Floyds Fork

The village takes its name from the Fisher family. A National Register file for the Fisher House says the Fishers bought land on Floyds Fork that included a mill running since 1823, and they kept up the flour mill and saw mill. When Robert Fisher died in 1850, he owned the land on both sides of Taylorsville Road where the village later grew.

The Parklands of Floyds Fork joins four parks, Beckley Creek, Pope Lick, Turkey Run and Broad Run, along 19 miles of the Louisville Loop. Paddlers check the Fisherville gauge before they put a boat in the creek.

Leaks, water heaters and toilets in Fisherville

“Staff is very friendly, which made me comfortable with Durbin entering my home.”

Inside the house, we track down and fix leaking pipes, from a supply line under a sink to a drip behind a washing machine box.

We love water heaters! We replace and repair gas and electric tank water heaters, and the water heater repair and replacement page explains the state permit and inspection each new heater needs. If a toilet is leaking at the base or running all night, Doug will tell you whether it needs a repair or a new one, and our toilet repair and replacement page covers both.

“...they went the extra mile there too to keep me and the home warranty company informed of the water heater's warranty status.”

Questions we hear in Fisherville

Have a question that is not here? Call the office.

(502) 266-9408

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

How can I tell if I have a hidden leak?

Start with the toilet. The EPA suggests putting a few drops of food coloring in the tank and checking the bowl after 10 minutes. If color shows up in the bowl without a flush, the tank is leaking.

Is a small drip really worth fixing?

Yes. The EPA says a faucet dripping once a second wastes more than 3,000 gallons a year, and the average household’s leaks waste more than 9,300 gallons a year. Fixing household leaks saves about 10 percent on a water bill, according to the EPA’s Fix a Leak Week page.

What should I do until you get here?

If water is actively leaking, shut off the water at the fixture’s stop valve or at the main valve for the house. Then call (502) 266-9408 so we can get you on the schedule.

For Fisherville city services, visit Louisville Metro Government. To plan a walk or a paddle, see The Parklands of Floyds Fork.
