We make the 40-minute drive to Taylorsville
A lot of plumbers do not want to go to Taylorsville, but we do! It can be a 40-minute drive from Louisville, and we put Taylorsville on our list on purpose. It is close to Fisherville, which we also serve, and with few plumbers willing to make the trip, homes here need one who will.
Because the trip is longer, we plan it. You call, Tina sets a two-hour arrival window, and we can call you to tell you we are on the way if you need to leave work. Doug Durbin usually makes the first visit himself to see the job and quote it, so the quote matches the real job.
Spencer County seat since 1824
A Kentucky Historical Society marker tells how the town began. Richard Taylor, a Virginia native who ran a grist mill nearby, gave 60 acres in 1799 for a town at the forks of Brashear’s Creek and Salt River. Taylorsville became the seat of Spencer County in December 1824.
The Salt River shaped the town again much later. The City of Taylorsville says the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers finished Taylorsville Lake in 1983, and the lake covers 3,050 acres at summer pool. The city also supplies water to about 98 percent of Spencer County and to customers in neighboring counties.
Water heaters, toilets and faucets in Taylorsville
We love water heaters! We repair and replace gas and electric tank water heaters, with the state permit and inspection Kentucky requires for every replacement.
“…got me hot water before a massive snowstorm.”
We also replace toilets and fix the old faucets that drip all night. See toilet replacement and repair for running or rocking toilets, and faucet repair and replacement when an older Delta or Moen tap won’t quit dripping.
“Don't give your business to a big company, keep it local with Durbin and they'll treat you like family.”
